M. VUILLERMOZ for Dambrine, France. Bar cabinet...

M. VUILLERMOZ for Dambrine, France. Bar cabinet "Polyhedron", 1960s. Solid mahogany and brass. Preserved with all its original elements and in excellent condition. Measurements: 90 x 106 x 106 cm. The Polyhedron bar cabinet is an exceptional piece of French design from the 1960s, conceived by Vuillermoz and produced by Dambrine. Beyond its function, it is presented as a functional sculpture, where geometry and matter dialogue with an uncommon precision. Made of solid mahogany, the piece of furniture retains its original warm tone in a remarkable state of preservation, reflecting the care and integrity of the piece over time. Its faceted structure unfolds through three folding compartments, whose openings reveal a carefully designed interior: brass-plated trays, original handles and an organization system that responds to both aesthetics and functionality. At the heart of the cabinet, a completely original circular brass ring acts as a bottle holder, generating a play of reflections that amplifies the light and accentuates its sophisticated character. This detail, together with the quality of the materials and the precision of execution, elevates the piece to a level where the design transcends the utilitarian. Preserved with all its original elements and in excellent condition, this bar cabinet is not only a rarity in mid-20th century design, but also a statement of character for spaces that seek uniqueness, history and an unmistakable sculptural presence.
