Marionnette pour le théâtre bunraku (ningyo joruri) représentant un samouraï habillé d'une armure en papier mâché garnie de brocart épais. Livré avec un socle en bambou pour maintenir la marionnette. Ses mains tiennent un sabre de bois fait d'une seule pièce (sans lame). Les bras et les doigts de la marionnette disposent chacun d'un système de levier pour en contrôler les mouvements. A doll of a samurai for the bunraku (ningyô jôruri) doll theater, clad in a papier-mâché suit-of-armor (yoroi) with heavy brocade together with a bamboo stand for the doll. In his hands the figure holds a wooden sword in one piece (without blade). The arms and fingers of the doll can be manipulated. Meiji period
