Daum / Majorelle vase Nancy, c. 1920, mouth-blown glass, powder and gold foil melting and wrought iron mounting. Signed "Daum Nancy", Lorraine cross and "L. Majorelle" on the stand. This exceptional glass and wrought iron vase is the result of a collaboration between Daum Nancy and Louis Majorelle. The vase is an excellent example of the high quality for which these two companies are known. The deep ocean blue Daum glass is interspersed with sky blue and shiny gold-plated inclusions that give the surface a special depth. The vase was blown into a wrought-iron case decorated with floral motifs by Majorelle, giving it a flowing, organic form that is characteristic of Art Nouveau elegance. Like Gallé, Daum was also strongly influenced by nature, which was reflected in numerous floral and landscape works. Call date: 01.06.2024 Approximate call time: 10:09 Height: 26cm
