Fringing the black marble uprights are two floral pilasters, as well as garlands and tapering columns. The machine in turn supports the base on which rests a flowered vase; white enamel dial with Arabic numerals signed Lepine in Paris, richly chased gilt bronze hands, pendulum movement with wire suspension, hour and half-hour chime on bell, with part-wheel system.
