MUSSOLINI (Benito).
LAS addressed to Alberto Bergamini, December 16, 1922. On "Il Presidente del consiglio dei Ministri" letterhead. 1 page in-8, in Italian.
Mussolini apologizes to Bergamini, editor of Giornale d'Italia, who had supported in his newspaper the candidacy of Milan Prefect Lusignoli for the Ministry of the Interior. Mussolini objected to this attempt by the Liberals to break into his government, and his anger had prompted Bergamini to tender his resignation. "I have a very bad temper, and sometimes I'm particularly hard on those who are closest to me. The incident is closed. On my return from London, I found myself entangled in a fit of rage".
