LITERATURE XXe. - Set of 8 handwritten pieces. - FARGUE (Léon-Paul). LAS addressed to Colette, about illness, 4 pages in-12. "I don't want you to suffer. That knows me. My illness is teaching all sorts of beasts to play my nervous system like a harp. There are good days. But on bad ones, I've got a raven clinging to my left shoulder, a woodpecker tapping my arms, a hedgehog in my hand flipping over, a porcupine bristling at my foot..." - GREEN (Julien). LAS, addressed to journalist and writer Luc Estang, dated March 23, 1991, 1 page in-8 with envelope. "This fidelity which binds us by many common ideas...". - GREEN (Julien). LAS, addressed to "Mon bien cher Père" (Teilhard de Chardin?), dated September 8, 1948, 2 pages in-8. He analyzes his correspondent's account as "overwhelmingly sincere (...). This, I believe, is its particular value. (...) A true document of certain religious souls of our time." - MALRAUX (André). 2 LAS, addressed to Princess Bibesco, with env. one mailed July 16, 1970, and the other dated February 12, 1971. 2 pages and 1 page in-12 - MICHAUX (Henri). Bill a. s., 8 lines on an in-12 card "Cher Madame, vous avez raison, je me noyais dans un verre d'eau". - NOEL (Marie). LAS, 4 pages in-8, addressed to Lucien Descaves, dated Auxerre November 21, 1929. Her health is pitiful. "I feel like a precious snake, numb, stretched out, under the blankets that maintain its failing warmth (...). The "Chansons" have had their charms. The "Chants de la Merci" will be less pleasant but more robust. She goes on to mention "Monsieur Bourdin profiteur" and "Knock", but on the whole they were less successful (...). We're very interested here in your successes. Aren't you our Descaves! - MAURIAC (François). 2 LAS to Princess Bibesco, 2 pages and 1 page in-8, one postcard, with envelopes, one dated March 27, 1963, the other 1966. He reassures her about a film that will have little influence. - NOAILLES (Anna de). LAS, 1 page in-12 folded, dated January 8, 1923, addressed to Montherlant. She congratulates him on "the admirable book, whose magnificent and terrible lyricism frightens me". Expert : Ségolène Beauchamp
