Denys Pierre Puech (1854-1942). The mermaid. Bronze with a slightly coppery brown patina. Signed on the rock, located in Rome. Signature of F Barbedienne, founder, and stamp of A Collas, mechanical redouctin. Nice early proof. H 48 cm. Barbedienne acquired the rights to the model in 1890 for 20 years, and it was made in several sizes under the sculptor's direction.
