Benedictine Altarpiece.
Oil on panel. Signed Iacob Renpoldt and dated 1587 with Roman numerals.
Interior with central scene of Bishop dressed in rich robes, crozier and miter accompanied by Abbot Major and Benedictine monk. Scene flanked by Saints of the Benedictine Order and noble coat of arms inside the side doors. Exterior with representation of St. Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata and St. Dominic Abbot with the serpent.
