CURIOSITES. Elegant snuffbox in composite material and leather, mounted in pompom or gold with engraved interlacing decoration. The upper part is embellished with a miniature depicting a figure in front of a memento mori with the inscriptions "Mère tendre, Epouse chérie. Mais regrets d'égaleront les miens". Verso, another miniature depicting the death of a lady. Elements to be refixed and accident to a window. Late 17th century. D. 8 cm.
