Ohan Tuhdarian aka Jean VENDOME (1930-2017), artist jeweler and pioneer of sculptural and contemporary jewelry, used the strangest minerals, as well as fossils, mollusks, baroque pearls, precious and semi-precious stones or ornamental stones such as amethyst or calcedony flowers, rutile or ghost quartz, staurotides from Brittany and edible crab claws.
Her jewels are sought after by many collectors and museums. In 2020/2021, the Ecole des Arts Joailliers, with the support of VAN CLEEF ARPELS on Place Vendôme, will be devoting an exhibition to him, featuring 130 pieces of jewelry and Roger Caillois's sword of the academician.
