Instituted June 5, 1805, knight's badge in silver and enamel, 28mm high (with bélière) x 21mm wide, 8.85g (without ribbon), text in Italian: DIO ME LA DIEDE GUAI ACHI LA TOCCA, imperial eagle to the left with spread eagles surmounting a blue-gray enameled 10-ray crown with cusped tips, in the center, an unenameled medallion with Napoleon's crowned, laureate head to the right. The eagle is not mobile (Barac 629).
Minor dents and felting to the enamel, yellowish stains to the enamel on the entablature, very fine to superb.
