Dresden candelabra pair Silver. Round base and baluster shaft with indicated drapery in the style of the 18th century. The inserted tops with curved candelabra arms; the four spouts with large eaves bowls in leaf shape. Both candelabra with engraved mirror monogram 'JA', one with a baronial crown, the other with a count's crown. Marks: One candelabra with fineness mark 800 and MZ Julius Theodor Marpé (1854 - 1901), DRESDEN, the other with BZ Dresden and year letter g, MZ Moritz A. Fickert (Rosenberg no. 1828). H 43.5 cm, filled. Dresden, Julius Theodor Marpé and Moritz August Fickert, around 1850 - 1880. Moritz August Fickert was a supplier to the electoral court in Dresden and apparently made additions to the Wettin court silver.
