Augsburg snakeskin lidded cup
Silver, gilded. Conical cup on a flat base with a profiled lip rim. The wall with fine snakeskin hallmarks. The domed lid with corresponding decoration and large ball finial with sawn and engraved foliage. Marks: BZ Augsburg for 1647 - 1651, MZ Johannes I Mayr (c. 1629 - 1687, Seling no. 0560, 1449), tremolier engraving. H 15.5 cm, weight 242 g.
