Collar necklace with tourmalines 18 ct yellow gold. Hand-forged necklace of ornamentally intertwined gold wires with pin buckle. Radially suspended 15 polygonal slices of red-green watermelon tourmalines (ca. 10.05 x 9.4 mm - ca. 18.1 x 17.9 mm) in gold-fused settings alternating with 14 studded pearls (diameter 3.8 - 4.0 mm, not tested, described in the Treskow catalog as oriental pearls). Stamped: fineness 750, MZ "ET". L 37 cm. Weight 87.14 g. Elisabeth Treskow, Cologne, 1968 - 70. Provenance Estate of the Cologne ballerina Inca Bauer. Literature Illustrated in Joppien, Elisabeth Treskow - Goldschmiedekunst des 20. Jahrhunderts, Cologne 1990, p. 157, no. 239, where the pearls are described as oriental pearls. Elisabeth Treskow created a total of three of these necklaces with tourmaline discs.
