First edition, illustrated with 34 etchings and burins by TRÉMOIS, limited edition of 250 copies. One of 200 copies on large Arches vellum (ex. no. 74), signed by the author, illustrator and publisher; and enriched with a large original double-page pen-and-ink drawing by Pierre-Yves Trémois, signed and annotated: "En souvenir du Cardinal d'Espagne, Trémois juillet 1960", as well as two striped copperplates: "Le bouffon du cardinal" (p. 59, 41 x 34 cm) and "Cisneros" (p. 159, 27.5 x 24.5 cm), signed autograph letter (on the false title): "Here is a drama where nothing is, even everything, where everything is, even nothing.
