KEYSTONE - PROSTITUTION "Rome, February 1965. A scene taken at night during the walk to the neighbouring places where the 'street women' have their headquarter. Prostitution is forbidden in Italy so that street girls have only some quarters of outside Rome. Very cold weather does not prevent them to remain on the street but they put up a fire against the cold. A Police car passed, but they did not arrest them as they have not the right to do so, unless they are baited with men." Photograph. Vintage silver print, stamped and labeled on the back. 18 x 24 cm
