Rare travel case sheathed in havana morocco, richly decorated in repoussé and silvered brass appliqué with foliate crosses on an amatized background and four-lobed foliage, the wide motif on the lid with shells and passementerie tassels on a tortoiseshell background, centered on an ormolu medallion depicting an allegory of maritime travel, the corners with an ormolu cherub's head; the lock plate, formerly mounted, features a marquis's crown; drooping side handles.
Rectangular in shape, it opens with a lid revealing an interior lined with emerald-green silk bourrette and scarlet morocco, featuring a mobile locker.
