Meissen. 19th c. Model J.J. Kaendler. Porcelain, painted in colours and gold. High, dynamic cloud pedestal. On it Zeus, in a dynamically turned pose, on an eagle with outstretched wings. It carries a flaming lightning bolt in its left claw. The father of all gods holds another flaming lightning bolt in his raised right hand, seemingly ready to throw it. Height 28,5cm. Swords mark, 321x.
