Vladimir Klein's artistic career is exceptional: he was a student at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague in Professor Libensky's class, after spending four years at the Kamenicky Senov Glass School, of which he then became principal designer and finally director from 1985 to 1990. He was called to teach in Japan, where his reputation became so strong that, following an exhibition in 2000, he was named a National Living Treasure (a rare distinction in Japan). From then on, he divided his time between Japan and the Novy Bor crystal glassworks, where he remained advisor, designer and director. Renowned the world over as a major artist, he is sought after by the greatest international collectors.
