Rare pair of Flemish or Dutch-made pistols from the late 17th century.
13 cm flintlock locks entirely chased with scrolls and acanthus leaves. Chased brass cap and brass thumb pieces decorated with an unengraved escutcheon surmounted by a royal crown and flanked by openwork foliage. Crosses and mounts in finely carved wood with acanthus, scrolls, fillets and a simulated baguette in a brass mount. Openwork counterplate decorated with foliate scrolls joined at the center by snake heads.
338 mm barrels signed at the top "GOILLE JASSIN".
