Berlin Set of seven dinner plates, three soup plates and a sauceboat in porcelain from a service of Emperor Friedrich Wilhelm IV (1795-1861) with polychrome decoration in the center of roses, a basket of flowers and butterflies on a terrace, the wing decorated with volubilis and gold combed. Marked: scepter in blue, K.P.M. on an orb in red, and FW in purple. Mid-19th century. Diameter of dinner plates: 24 cm, soup plates: 24.5, length of sauceboat: 23 cm. The decoration of this service is based on that of a service produced by the Royal Manufactory in Berlin in 1772 for Emperor Frederick the Great.
