Antique Top Hat in Case Antique Top Hat in Case. The pair includes 1 early 20th century black fur top hat by Knox featuring a 1.5'' wide black wool felt band and an up-turned brim. The interior has a gold tone letter P on the ivory silk moire top lining. It has a 22'' circumference, 2 1/4'' wide brim, and a height of 6'' . In good condition with wear to the edging, holes in the black wool brim underlining, and wear to the internal leather band. Also included is 1 antique early 20th century English brown leather hard body top hat travel case by Scott & Co featuring a semi detachable lid and inner ridges to secure the hat. The box has a gold embossed logo with the brand name and "By royal appointment" as well as the initials "P.M." stamped on the exterior and the remnants of a Cunard line first class baggage label, as well as a modern hotel ritz sticker. The padded interior is covered in a faux moire fabric, the box closes with a heavy duty silver tone lock "key not included". It measures 13'' wide by 9.5'' high by 10'' deep. It also includes 1 black wool felt pad from Adam hats to help and smooth the pressed fur body of the hat. The box is in fair condition with general signs of wear: cracking to portions of the exterior leather, discoloration, and heavy wear to the outer seams. The back seam for the lid has become detached. We do not believe this is the original hat for this case. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
