His photographs of Ireland in 1984 and Egypt in 1985 were immediately published in Photo Magazine and Photo Reporter. It was in India (Indian File), where he made several trips, that his passion for portraiture and color, the foundation of his photographic work, was revealed. Today, Didier Goupy pursues his personal work on space in close relation to painting. He strives to understand the relationship between the figure and abstraction, using color to create a space of mystery and meditation.
