In landscape photography, light is uncontrollable, furtive, capricious. The photographer doesn't control it, it decides. Patient, he contemplates and then becomes an observer, an admirer even, waiting for it to offer itself or not to his lens. For me, this is the very essence of my work as a landscape photographer. This feeling of uncertainty, the hope of succeeding in capturing the precise moment when it will, perhaps, reveal all the natural beauty of a landscape.
