Bearing the original labels of Louis-François CHATARD, painter and gilder to King Louis XVI and later to Emperor Napoleon: "Garde-Meuble de la Couronne Impériale, août 1809, Service de ? à Fontainebleau / Chatard, peintre doreur du Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, fait de ses mains et entreprend tout ce qui concerne Peinture et Dorure, pour bâtiments et meubles, à Paris".
Bearing the Restauration-era iron marks of the coat of arms of France accompanied by the letters "FON" for Fontainebleau, black and red stencilled inventory marks "F 12202", "F 12408", "F 4743", "F 13875", etc.
