First edition of this work illustrated with numerous wood-engraved compositions by Paul Véra. Limited edition of 536 copies: one of 500 on Arches laid paper (n°397).
A fine copy in an elegant Art Deco binding, dated 1927, designed by Germaine de Léotard and executed by S. Nogues and M. P. Povie. A disciple of Pierre Legrain, G. de Léotard distinguished herself in the '20s, winning a silver medal at the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs.
