A FRENCH EMPIRE BRONZE AND ORMOLU BLACKAMOOR FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK with an eight-day spring-driven movement and silk suspension striking on a bell. (33.5cm high ) The case has some rubbing to the gilding in places, the walking stick is loose, there has possibly been something held in his right hand, the hands are original but the minute hand is slightly bent, there is a fixing missing under the case which holds his left foot down. The dial has fine hairline cracks around numerals 6 and 7, the movement is ticking and striking but many need a service.
