Ferrer, Joaquin. Untitled. (Abstract composition.) Acrylic on Arches, mounted on wood. Signed lower left, as well as signed, dated and inscribed "Paris" on a sticker on the verso. 1978. dimensions: 31 x 44 cm. Framed: 36 x 49 cm.
Joaquin Ferrer (1928-2022), Cuban artist, living in Paris since 1960 after numerous solo exhibitions in Havana. A first exhibition of his works followed in Paris in 1968 at the Galerie Le Point Cardinal with a foreword by Max Ernst, as well as many further exhibitions, for example at the Fondation Maeght and the Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris. - Minor foxing in places, somewhat rubbed overall.
