The painter and graphic artist Bernd Berner (1930-2002) is one of the most important representatives of abstract painting in post-war German art. After training as a lithographer, Berner moved from Hamburg to Stuttgart in 1952, where he met Willi Baumeister. Together with Baumeister's students Klaus Jürgen-Fischer and Eduard Micus as well as Rolf-Gunter Dienst, he founded the artist group SYN in 1965, which Erwin Bechtold also joined a year later. - In good condition.
