Interior painting by the Hungarian artist Rezsö Bálint (1885-1945), who was known for his landscape paintings. He studied in Budapest and Paris and shared a studio with A. Modigliani at Montparnasse in Paris in 1910 and 1911. - Below the painting is an old still life that can still be partially guessed at. - With some minor retouching and rubbing, slight craquelure, the picture has probably been lightly restored by a professional. - Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
