Gustave Roger Sandoz (1867-1943):
Son of Swiss watchmaker Gustave Sandoz, whom he succeeded in 1891, Gustave Roger Sandoz moved to rue Royale in 1895. He distinguished himself as a jury member at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. According to Henri Vever, his Art Nouveau pieces were particularly noteworthy (Histoire de la bijouterie française au XIXe siècle, vol. III). He collaborated with the great master glassmaker Emile Gallé, for whom he designed frames. His son Gérard Sandoz is one of the most outstanding jewelry artists of the Art Deco period.
