Horn butt (watermark missing, minor traces of insects). Chased and gilded brass mounting, single-branch guard and cockerel keypad in a wreath of oak leaves on a bundle of flags, pump counter-keypad. Straight blade with median edge signed "Coulaux Ainé Comp Klingenthal". Leather scabbard with gilded brass cap and later brass bolt.
