Light cavalry officer's saber. Partially checkered ebony handle. Brass mounting, lion's head pommel, fluted single-branch guard, jellyfish-head mounts, slightly curved quillon. Engraved round-backed blade, gilded and one-third blued (wear), signed "J.Spal Md Fourbisseur à Metz". Brass scabbard with two bracelets. Asymmetrical sting. Partly Consulat - Empire period. Posterior mounting.
