BMC (Natural History), p. 1300 - Rare first edition. - Hermann von Meyer is considered the founder of German-speaking vertebrate paleontology and left behind an impressive life's work with over 300 scientific publications. - Former library copy of the Fürstliche Hofbibliothek Donaueschingen (title page stamped on verso). - Paper slightly browned, with occasional small pale brown spots, small dampstain in the lower inner edge (text and plates unaffected). Overall well preserved, the plates exceptionally well differentiated. Paleontology - With 4 lithogr. plates. Orig. cardboard binding with cover title (somewhat bumped, the spine minimally discolored) - Rare first edition. - Former library copy (title page stamped on verso). - Slightly browned due to paper, isolated somewhat foxed, with small damp stain in the lower inner edge (typeface and plates each unaffected). Altogether in well-preserved condition, the plates exceptionally differentiated. * This work is taxed.
