Kreutzer, Conradin Handwritten letter with signature to the director of the Leipzig Theater. German handwriting on paper. Rochlitz, May 17, 1846. 3 pp. on 1 double sheet (each approx. 23.2 x 14.1 cm). Sends the "most successful" engraved portrait that "has appeared to date" as well as a biography he has written himself for any use. He also asks for his daughter to sing at the Leipzig theater. - Conradin Kreutzer (1780-1849) was a German composer and is considered a typical representative of early Romanticism and musical Biedermeier. - ADB 17 (1883), p. 145ff. - NDB 13 (1982), p. 27f. - Traces of multiple folding, partly creased, minor marginal tears and 3 small fold tears, otherwise generally well-preserved.
