Cologne, ex officina Eucharij (Eucharius Cervicornus (Hirtzhorn) for Gottfried Hittorp), 1529. 220 nn. Cl.-8°. Late. Hardcover on 5 boards with red edges, gilt stamped title, richly decorated spine and edges (rubbed, restoration at head of spine).
First edition of the commentary by the Benedictine monk and since 840 Bishop Haymo (Haimo) of Halberstadt (c. 790-853) on the Apocalypse of John. - VD16 B 5253. - NDB 7 (1966), p. 522f. - Title with signed bookplate Abrahami Girard 1660 and somewhat brownstained, first few leaves with red underlining, some leaves with small dampstain to upper margin, otherwise a well-preserved and clean copy.
First edition of the commentary on the Apocalypse of John by the Benedictine monk and since 840 Bishop Haymo (Haimo) of Halberstadt (c. 790-853). - Later leather wtih red edges and rich spine gilt and gilt standing edges (rubbed, upper spine restored). - Title with ms. exlibris and somewhat brownstained, first leaves with red underlinings, some leaves with small dampstains at upper margin, otherwise well preserved and clean copy.
