Cepari, Virgilio Vita B. Aloysii Gonzagae religiosi societatis Iesu. Antwerp, Keerberg, 1609. 13 vols. 452 p., 4 vols. 8°. Binding with coat of arms of Archduke Leopold V (Austria Tyrol). Central blind-stamped boards with corner fleurons, three gilt edges, later hs. Sign on front board (strong traces of use, partly restored missing parts, later overpainting of the blind embossing in gold color). Handwritten note on the front flyleaf stating that the copy was given as a prize by Leopold V to Georg Everard Zwanger in 1617, attested with the note "ita tesor" by Theodor Reess (rector of the Jesuit college in Molsheim, present-day Alsace). - Biography of the saint Aloisius of Gonzaga, who was canonized in 1605. Written by the Jesuit Virgilio Cepari (1564 - 1631). - Title page recto and verso with old stamp. Endpapers and first and last leaves with slight worm damage. A neat copy. Binding with coat of arms of Leopold V, Archduke of Austria.
