Rare and important sculpture in white and polychrome porcelain, Meissen, circa 1740 depicting Minerva rendered according to the classic iconography: the head covered by a graduated helmet, the lorica that allows a glimpse of her nudity, the heavily draped dress in light blue enriched by floral compositions, the cloak held on the right shoulder by a brooch simulating a ruby; her left hand holds a shield with a rocaille profile centered on the head of a screaming Medusa, her right hand holds a metal spear, marking crossed swords in under glaze blue, h. cm. 39.5
Condition report: helmet crest, little finger of the right hand and right foot restored; some hairline on the back
