He was a member of the Conseil des Cinq-Cents and the Tribunal. He wrote tales in verse and comic poems. He was a member of the Académie française and professor of literature at the Collège de France.
Autograph letter signed on 10 February - Exhibit relating to the presentation of his works: "... Persuadé que la Comédie a le désir comme l'intérêt de jouer promptement une pièce des Deux Vieillards..." it requires prompt repetition. 1 p. In-4;
Autograph letter signed and dated 29.01.1824 to M. Alexandre Guisan. He expresses his gratitude for the collection sent by his correspondent and, having re-read all the pieces, Andrieux has found new inspiration: “…ou plutôt une certaine abondance dont vous devez peut être un peu vous défier; Euripide et Racine travaillaient beaucoup leurs vers, et je crois que M. de Chateaubriand a dit quelque part que choisir et cacher étaient deux grands secrets du style…”. 2 pp. In-4.
