He informs his correspondent that H.M. has promoted to the rank of Division General: ".. brigadier generals Demont, Piston and Sebastiani…il fera bientôt connaître la destination fixée par Napoléon Ier à ces généraux…". This document concerns the generals promoted after the victory of Austerlitz (December 2, 1805 Joseph, Laurent, Count Demont (1747-1826), wounded at Austerlitz; Joseph, Baron Piston (1754-1831), cavalry general who charged at Austerlitz, and Horace, François, Bestien, Count Sebastiani (1772-1851), the future Marshal of France, also wounded at Austerlitz.
