Autograph letter signed dated " dimanche, 02.10.1853 to a neighbour:" Je vous remercie, mon cher Voisin d'avoir pensé à moi pour une aussi agréable matinée, mais je suis acharné au travail. Pour vous joindre à l'heure indiquée il faudrait quitter mon cabinet à 10 heure, or, c'est de 10 à 2 heures que je travaille le plus, et je suis si entêté à finir qu'un jour perdu me déchire le cœur…".
