A Paris (chez Briasson, David, Le Breton et Durand) & Neufchatel (chez Samuel Faulche), 1751-1772, 28 volumes in-folio (17 volumes of text + 11 volumes of plates), full calf, ribbed spines, richly decorated with gilded fleurons, title and tomaison labels
(contemporary binding, many spines blackened or discolored, small differences in spine ornamentation, epidermal wear with leather missing from some boards and spines, cracks in some jaws, many headpieces and corners worn or worn with small leather loss, many freckles and stains, traces of wetness in the margins of some leaves).
A pleasant copy, however.
Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous copper-engraved plates.
Copy incomplete :
a) a few leaves of text: 2 ff. in T XIV (pages 797 to 800), 2 ff. in T XVI (pages 361-362 and pp. 367-68), ...
b) 5 volumes of supplements (including one of plates) and 2 volumes of table.
However, enclosed:
Supplément à l'Encyclopédie. Amsterdam, Rey, 1776-1777, 4 volumes in-folio, paperback, hardback (working copy, dilapidated, with heavy brown spotting and dampening, wormholes, torn leaves). - A very modest working copy, with missing pages.
