TWO AUTOGRAPHIC LETTERS FROM ANGELO SALTARELLI TO THE BIONDO BROTHERS AND TO ANDREA BIONDO, creator and co-founder, along with brothers Eugenio and Luigi of the Biondo Theater in Palermo, which opened on October 15, 1903. The letters, on paper and envelopes headed by the sender, are dated Naples Nov. 6, 1906, and Palermo Nov. 12, 1906, and relate to works to be staged. Angelo Saltarelli (1857 - 1922) was a dramatic actor, theatrical impresario and president since 1905, of the Saltarelli dramatic company, directed by Ermete Zacconi. Saltarelli's company produced and staged several plays for the Teatro Biondo. Rare.
