Antiquarian and expert in 19th and 20th century sculpture, Nicolas Bourriaud grew up among works of art, and it was at a very young age that he developed a passion for French bronzes from past centuries.
The works of the greatest sculptors such as Barye, Belmondo, Joseph Bernard, Bugatti, Carpeaux, Dalou, Godchaux, Guyot, Rodin, Pompon or Sandoz are presented in his gallery. Exceptional bronzes with nuanced patinas and stamped by prestigious foundries such as Barbedienne, Hebrard, Rudier, Siot Decauville, Susse, Valsuani etc...
Selected under the watchful eye of Nicolas Bourriaud, each of the works carries within it all the grandeur of French sculpture of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Nicolas Bourriaud is a member of the National Chamber of Experts specializing in art objects and collectibles, as well as the National Union of Antique Dealers.

Bears the Sèvres stamp, the date letter "L" (for 1939), the initials of the repairer-molder LR for Lucien Roncière and of the sculptor-modeler NV.

Circa 1939
Lucien Roncière worked at Sèvres from 1928 to 1940, when he was deported. He died in 1944.
These torsos were produced between 1935 and 1939.
