Olympic Games/ winter-summer, 1924/ Chamonix/Paris/ Miroir des Sports/ Revue illustrée. Crucial year linked to the emblematic "Miroir des Sports", taking us right to the heart of the Olympic Games in Chamonix and Paris, and even the Women's International Games in London, which were marked by incidents and irregularities. From issue no. 178 of Thursday, Nov. 29, 1923, to issue no. 238 of Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1924 (60 issues). Beneath this binding, which shows slight traces of damp, the sport of the Roaring Twenties unfolds, with a thousand photos enhanced by the analyses and reports of the best specialists of the time, led by Olympic vice-champion Géo André. He is joined by Gabriel Hanot, Bierre, Musnik, André Reuze, Howard, André Glarner, W.Christie, Victor Boin, Victor Chapiro (boxing), Laurie Pihkala, Jean Samazeuilh, Cézembre and Paul Meyan. After a fine warm-up at the end of 1923, we devour the first half of 1924 (416 pages, with Chamonix), then the second (Tour and Olympics) on 476 pages. All in all, 1000 pages of invigorating reading (33x24).
