Olympic Games/ Summer, 1900/ Paris/ Golf/ Women's sports. Unique piece, wooden panel painted in the 1970s by Madame France Broulard, revisiting the golf competition at the 1900 Universal Exhibition Games. This agreste golfeuse is the American Margaret Abbott (1878-1955) from Chicago, who on October 14 1900 played 9 holes at Compiègne, unknowingly becoming one of the first female Olympic champions in history. In this work, as rural as it is candid, we find all the spontaneity that prevailed during this forgotten Olympic competition.
