Carbine Mod. 88 by Erfurt, 1890 Cal. 8x57JS, SN. 9530d, externally almost matching numbered. Lock and lower ring restamped with matching numbers. Bright bore. Belgian reloading. Sight scaled 5 - 12. On receiver marked crown/"ERFURT/1890", above "S" for S-cartridge. Various imperial acceptance marks. Troop stamp on upper ring "G.R.A.E.2.162.". Original finish with usage marks. Lock, upper ring and lower ring bright. Stock reworked with repair in stock neck and wooden replacement on underside of butt. Stock chipped in area of lower ring. Magazine box with the rare box lid. Leather sling.
