A German target rifle by Ferdinand Kleemann in Eisleben, ca. 1870
Cal. 9.5x47R, SN. without, rifled, blued octagonal barrel of Damascus steel with bright bore, adjustable front sight base on top. Gold-inlaid signature on and in front of the receiver. Bright action with fine vine engraving and light gold inlays, sight engraved en suite on the butt stock neck. Set trigger. Finely grained and lavishly figured and ornamentally cut half stock with nickel silver nose cap and iron and nickel silver furniture also decorated with scrollwork. Iron cleaning and discharging rod with brass tip.
