A German side-by-side shotgun by G. Wilcke in Stuttgart, circa 1885
Cal. 12/65, SN. 163, blued barrel bundle of Damascus steel, signed and proofed on barrel rib, bores matt in places. Rear locks with finely engraved lock plates with vine work, also signed. Fore-end with fine chequering and ebony stock nose cap, on the underside a release for the tilting barrel. English stock with chequering and beautiful graining, iron furniture engraved en suite. Butt cap with light traces of corrosion. Length 114 cm.
