A Russian multi-partite icon including an archangel and Saint George, circa 1700
Wooden panel with two reverse sponki (lost). Flat kovcheg, tempera on chalk ground. The seven panels depict the Mother of God of Kazan, the Descent of Christ, Saint Nicholas, an archangel surrounded by six saints, Saint George, Saint Nicifor and three other saints. Margins damaged. Dimensions 31 x 26 cm.
